Once upon a time there was a king. He loved honors and beautiful outfits, was confident in his greatness, and did not allow others to doubt it. But arrogance, like any bad quality, has its vulnerabilities. For every such king, there is a trickster and someone who can loudly tell the world the truth, despite all the grandeur of royal garments.

This timeless story was told by the great Danish storyteller Hans Christian Andersen, and the edition was illustrated by the wonderful St. Petersburg artist Anton Lomaev.
