The girl Sasha is called Troika by everyone. But not because she studies poorly, but because she has two older sisters and a third eye. Thanks to this eye, Troika sees everything around her a little better than the others.... That's why she knows that she lives in a very interesting and mysterious skyscraper — it's no coincidence that there's a sign on it: «House of High Culture of Wonders». Troika knows that the caretaker from the first apartment climbs to the roof every evening and nails the stars to the sky. That winter arrives when uncle Vasya Morozov from apartment two hundred twenty-five wakes up, that in the pipes of the neighboring staircase lives the ichthyosaur Chips, and that her sister's golden fish can talk and grant wishes. Troika is aware that one must be careful with elevators: if one gets distracted, they might accidentally open in the Jurassic period. And it's better not to go down to the basement: there's a slimy monster residing there. And also — that somewhere down there, in the depths of the big house, a mysterious door to apartment 42 awaits for a curious child to grab its chrome handle...
