The Chef Mouse

The Chef Mouse is the main character of a culinary detective story for toddlers. He is waiting for a dear guest – the bear cub Misha and is preparing a complicated treat with a secret ingredient. But here’s the trouble... – the most important product, milk, disappears from the pot. Where has it gone, and who has stolen it? The Mouse starts searching among his neighbors – the hare, the squirrel, the hedgehog, even sneaks into the owl's hole, although he is very afraid of getting caught by her. He looks into the pots of his neighbors, but doesn’t find the thief. However, the little reader, along with the Chef Mouse, learns that hedgehogs eat mushrooms, hares love carrots, and squirrels enjoy nuts.
 
But the guest Misha did not leave hungry. Yes, the pot is empty, but there is still a secret ingredient – fragrant honey with a scent of summer. And friends, hugging, indulge in the sweet product and admire the starry sky, where the Milky Way stretches out.
 
With the help of adults, the little reader is to guess where the milk has gone. A separate pleasure is to examine the forest apartments of the Mouse and his neighbors with cute household details: jars of preserves, washed laundry drying, strings of dried mushrooms, mats, and polka dot dishware.
