The Ladies Lucy

The collection includes two short stories from the cycle of tales about third-grader Lyusy Sinitsyna and her friend Lyusy Kositsyna, created by the famous children's writer Irina Mikhailovna Pivovarova (1939-1986). Best friends, the two cheerful Luses have long won the... love of children and have become the most popular among Pivovarova's characters. The stories about them are full of mischief and fun, but at the same time, they are wise and poignant. An attentive reader of these novellas can reflect on many things: on conscience and a sense of duty, on why one must be honest with oneself and how important it is to be helpful to someone. Bright and playful illustrations for the stories about the restless duo were drawn by Elena Volodkina.
