BaiKala-Lake Tales

«BaiKala-Lake Tales» — a collection of original Siberian folklore. The core of the collection consists of Buryat, Evenki, and Tofalar tales — peoples living in the immediate vicinity of Baikal. The tales are expressive, with bright national color and practical wisdom. Some legends and traditions are connected with the «Siberian Sea,» as the Siberians call Baikal.
The illustrations for the collection were created by outstanding artist G.A.V. Traugot. Compiled by N. Yesipyonok. The text is published based on the edition: BaiKala-Lake Tales. Collection: in 2 vols. — Irkutsk: East Siberian Book Publishing House, 1989. For middle school age.
