The Pines Whisper

«The Pines Whisper» — is not just an artistic work. It is a memoir, an autobiographical story by Irina Tokmakova about the life of a children's home evacuated during the Great Patriotic War. A fierce war rages on, but life goes on. The little ones grow, play, learn... In the deep rear, adults carefully protect the fragile children's souls, giving the charges the opportunity to remain children even in such a difficult time for the country. In the light graphic illustrations of the people's artist of Russia Nikolai Ustinov, the faces of children and the beauty of Russian nature come to life, and love for both big and small people becomes visible.
