The POSCA marker range was created by the Uni Mitsubishi Pencil brand in Tokyo.
The PC-8K art marker is the choice of street art enthusiasts. The beveled tip allows for working on large surface areas both indoors and outdoors. Line thickness...
up to 8.0 mm. The range includes 35 colors.
The inks of the markers consist of water, pigment, and titanium white. Colors can be layered on top of each other. When using the markers on paper, the ink does not bleed through to the other side of the sheet. In terms of ecological qualities, titanium inks are safe, markers are xylene-free, meet the ISO8124-3 standard, and are safe for children's creativity.
POSCA markers allow you to work on any surface. On porous bases such as stone, wood, canvas, some metals, and plastics, markers can be applied without any fixatives; for 100% fixation on exceptionally smooth surfaces, a clear varnish can be used. Without fixatives, they can be used as temporary decor.
Before the ink dries, take a brush previously soaked in water and apply the paint directly to the material until the desired effect is achieved.
After application, you can mix colors together, create gradients, and produce new shades. This can be done using the tip, a brush, or a piece of fabric.
POSCA paint has a high covering density and is therefore ideal for layering. After drying, text can be covered with a new color.
To achieve a "spraying/splashing" effect, you need to saturate the tip with ink and then, holding the marker parallel to the working surface, gently blow on the tip. We recommend practicing on a draft before applying. This technique is perfect for working with markers that have wide tips: PC-5M, PC-7M, PC-8K, and PC-17K.
