The Kingdom of the Cornerstone. The Firstborn of May

In the second volume of «The Kingdom of the Cornerstone», the story continues. After Emma makes a deal with Queen Sidra, Thibault returns from the Blighted Forest, but he is no longer the same as before. Life at court flows... its own course, but disasters are raining down on the Cornerstone one after another. And no matter what happens — a harsh winter, famine, cholera — the subjects blame the young dark-skinned foreign queen for what is happening. For Emma, the happy anticipation of the firstborn becomes anxious and tormenting, as she knows: the hour of reckoning is coming.
Pascal Kivizher (born in 1969) — a Canadian writer and artist. She was born into a French-speaking family in Montreal and earned her Master's degree in Philosophy at the University of Montreal and the University of Strasbourg in the Humanities, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Concordia University. Pascal Kivizher worked on the adventure series «The Kingdom of the Cornerstone» for seven years and published the series with a Canadian publisher, and after a few years it was reissued in France.
