This edition includes six famous Arabic tales from 'A Thousand and One Nights', including 'The Tale of the Fisherman' and 'Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves'. The basis of our collection is a French edition of the tales from 1907, which has long become a bibliographic rarity, translated into Russian by Mikhail Yasnov. The book is adorned with a cycle of fifty illustrations by the outstanding English artist Edmund Dulac (1882-1953), now recognized as a masterpiece of the golden age of English book graphics.
