Little Mook ill. V. Nenov

The German writer Wilhelm Hauff (1802–1827) is rightly considered one of the best storytellers in the world. In his childhood, the boy's favorite place was his grandfather's library, where young Wilhelm spent countless hours eagerly reading books. As he grew older, Hauff became a tutor in the family of the Minister of War, Baron Ernst Eugen von Högel. It was for his children that Hauff wrote his first fairy tales, including the tale of Little Mook. This instructive story about the adventures of a dwarf who became the owner of magical speed shoes found a place in the hearts of many readers and gained popularity not only in the writer's homeland but also abroad.

The tale was illustrated by the talented artist Vladimir Nenov.
