Closeness. Trust in oneself and in others

«Closeness is a treasure that needs to be cherished,» says Osho. Even in the happiest family, there comes a subconscious feeling that something is missing. And that something is the quality of closeness.
Osho is sure: it doesn't matter how long you have lived with a person — one month or twenty years — often the «strangeness» does not disappear. Many are afraid to show themselves to a stranger as they are, without embellishments — for it is like taking a step on a tightrope stretched over an abyss. Yet at the same time, everyone wants closeness, because otherwise one has to be alone in the universe — without a friend, without someone to open up to and share all their secrets... How to overcome this contradiction within oneself?
In his book, Osho helps to recognize the fears of closeness. He teaches to look within and get rid of everything that causes feelings of shame before another person.
