In every child lives a lonely bear cub, which is why it is so easy for children to understand what the main character of the book, Bor, feels. Finnish writer Timo Parvela, who worked as a school teacher for many... years, wrote a deep and touching story about misunderstanding, self-discovery, and finding inner balance. The illustrations by artist Virpi Talvitie beautifully complement the narrative and awaken the reader's imagination.
The story of the bear cub has been awarded many literary prizes, including the main children's literature award in Finland, the Finlandia Junior (2006).
