Fairy Tales

R. Kipling is a world-renowned writer, the first among British authors to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. He composed these fairy tales for his daughter Josephine, and when the girl died at the age of six from pneumonia, Kipling compiled a collection of twelve tales and published it in 1902 in memory of his beloved child.

These tales about the creation of the world and the first wild animals have been translated into almost all languages, and children in all countries enjoy reading them. This book includes seven tales translated by the remarkable children's writers Korney Chukovsky and Samuil Marshak.
