Readings of Great Lent. The Book of the Prophet Isaiah

More than seven centuries before the birth of Christ, the prophet Isaiah already spoke of Him — with documentary precision, with striking imagery and grandeur. However, the Book of the Prophet Isaiah is not easy for today's reader — partly... because it was written by a person from another culture. To make the words of the Old Testament prophet understandable and close to us, three modern clergymen commented on the fragments of his book that are read on each weekday of Great Lent. Inspired by the words of the prophet Isaiah, immersing in their meaning and depth, one can learn to follow Christ throughout the entire Lent — and thus step by step approach Easter.
