Religion — is an attempt by man to reach the heavens. Humanity has sought God throughout its history, and these searches have not been in vain: the coming of Christ into the world occurred in response to spiritual thirst. To avoid being alienated from the treasure of spiritual culture and not to be cast aside in spiritual life, it is important to understand the basic religious ideas, the history of their emergence, and their mutual influence. This book examines the most significant religious beliefs in the history of humanity from a Christian perspective and in the context of the idea that all searches for God serve a certain Divine purpose.
