The badgers Bosya and Mosa are long-time friends. Little Mosa is a mischievous restless one, an tireless adventurer. He loves to be the first in everything. Big Bosya is practical and wise. He knows how to bake delicious cakes, make fishing rods, and is always ready to help little Mosa if he struggles with something.
 
One summer morning, the friends went fishing and got into a quarrel over a trivial matter. Mosa wanted to catch the biggest fish first, but instead, he pulled an old boot out of the river. This made Bosya laugh so hard that he almost burst from laughter. Mosa got angry and, in retaliation, threw Bosya's fishing rod into the river. Now it was Bosya's turn to be offended. Neither of them wanted to make up and apologize, each believed that he was not to blame.
 
Bosya and Mosa went their separate ways, hoping to find new friends soon. But it turned out that it was not so easy. Everyone that Bosya and Mosa met that day on their way was not suitable as friends. By evening, both badgers bitterly regretted their silly quarrel and dreamed of being friends again as before. All that was needed for this was to apologize to each other. And they did it with great joy at the very first opportunity. And little Mosa was especially happy that he apologized first – after all, he loved to be first in everything.
