Live, little caterpillar!

Emma loves animals very much. In her garden, the bird feeder is always full of seeds for the birds. And at home, she has her own little zoo in a glass jar. One day, on her way to the hairdresser,... she notices a caterpillar in the grass. Emma thinks that the little caterpillar is frozen and takes her with her to warm her up. But in the café where she and her mom go, animals are not allowed, so Emma hides the caterpillar in a large pot by the entrance. After a quick snack, they run to the hair salon, and in a hurry, Emma forgets about her caterpillar. Remembering, she leaps from the chair and races back. Terrible images flash before her eyes. What if the caterpillar freezes and gets sick? What if it falls out of the pot? What if it gets run over by a car? What if a bird pecks it? And it will be her, Emma, who is to blame! And there she leans over the flower, but there’s no one in the pot. Emma cries and through her tears hears her mother's voice. Mom is squatting right on the road. In front of her, a furry caterpillar crawls across the asphalt - whole and unharmed! Joyful Emma carries her caterpillar into the forest and builds a cozy nest for it under a big stump.

The authors of the book - the budding writer Malin Linnerut and the famous artist Lisa Moroni from Sweden - created an incredibly touching story about a kind girl who lives in her own world and perceives everything differently than the people around her, including her closest ones. It is precisely such stories that awaken emotional responsiveness in children, a sense of responsibility for those who are weaker than you, and teach them to treat all living beings with care.
