The French writer George Sand (1804-1876) is known for her works for adult readers, but she also wrote tales for her granddaughters. These are stories about good and evil, hard work, bravery, and cherished dreams. In the pages of the book, you will meet mysterious witches and an enchanted prince, an ancient castle and a talking oak tree, the treacherous Mr. Bumble and the true simpleton Mushroom.
The collection includes 12 tales with numerous illustrations, some of which were created by the writer's son - artist and writer Maurice Sand.
