Novel III. Butterfly on a Rod. The Last Fairy Tale. “Steel Hair” is a book about the lives of several generations of children from the Siberian town of Tureni. It consists of three novels: “The Brig "Artemida"”, “Guadelorka” and “Butterfly on...
a Rod”.
The characters of the last novel “Butterfly on a Rod” have the same problems as most modern teenagers. They study at school, conflict with teachers, and do not always get along with their parents. But they have sensitive souls and faithful hearts, not indifferent to the evil happening in the world. They try, in their childlike ways, to restore the violated “field of goodness” or, as one of the characters says, “to break at least one cruel imbalance” — through a good deed, a small joy given to another, or simply a smile. And it seems they succeed. For middle school age.
