Novel II. Gvadelorca. A tale about the children of the old town.
"Steel Hair" is a book about the lives of several generations of children from the Siberian town of Tureni. It consists of three novels: "The Brig 'Artemida'", "Gvadelorca", and "Butterfly on a Pole".

The hero of the novel "Gvadelorca" is Vanya, a fifth grader from Moscow, who befriends the boys and girls of Tureni during the holidays. Together, they enthusiastically immerse themselves in unraveling the mystery of the little Russian brig "Artemida". By getting to know the fates of children from past times, modern teenagers establish a living connection with them and begin to feel like one big family that has lived in Tureni for three centuries. The laws and traditions of distant childhood become their reality. One of these — the "law of the midday shot" — helps the young Muscovite escape from trouble and find true friends.
