The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

«The Adventures of Tom Sawyer», one of the most popular works of the famous American writer Mark Twain, tells the story of life in a small town on the Mississippi in the 1830s and 40s. As the author himself admitted, most of the adventures described in this book actually happened - either to him or his schoolmates. And although almost two centuries have passed since then, Tom's antics still evoke smiles and sympathy, not only among young readers. It is no coincidence that Mark Twain stated that with his book he wanted to remind adults of what they once were, what they thought and felt, and what amazing events happened to them.
