The Adventures of Pinocchio

The story of the wooden boy Pinocchio has retained its popularity for more than a hundred years, not only among readers but also among artists. The illustrations for this edition were created by Massimiliano Frezzato - one of the best... contemporary Italian artists. Even as a child, he dreamed of learning to draw so beautifully that his drawings would amaze himself. Today, Frezzato's series of works, the most famous of which is "The Guardians of Mazer," are popular in many countries around the world.
"The Adventures of Pinocchio" can be called the crystallization of the artist's dream. The contradictory combination of different styles, painting and graphics not only captivates the imagination but also gives the book the very bold, mischievous character that distinguishes its main hero. Frezzato admits that while working on the illustrations, he felt simultaneously like Pinocchio's father and Pinocchio himself. Forgiving the wooden little rascal all his pranks and mischief for his extraordinary zest for life, the artist infused the illustrations with so much positive energy and inspiration that he became literally a co-author of Carlo Collodi.
