Vasyok Trubachyov and His Comrades. Book Two

Vasyok Trubachyov and his friends go on vacation to the Ukrainian collective farm "Chervony Zirkі," from where their teacher Sergey Nikolaevich hails. The sun and the river, pioneer campfires and hikes, helping the collective farm workers and making new friends...... The happy summer of 1941 comes to an abrupt end, just like the childhood of our heroes. At night, the boys notice airplanes with swastikas flying overhead, and the next day they learn that war has begun... The fascists are advancing on Soviet land, but a partisan movement is already secretly developing and strengthening. And Vasyok and his friends, of course, will not remain on the sidelines.
