Mikhail Mikhailovich Zoshchenko 1894—1958 — satirical writer, screenwriter, translator. Many of his works have been adapted for film, and some stories from the series Lelya and Minka were staged in one of the children's TV programs, Alarm Clock, in 1984. The funny and instructive stories by Mikhail Zoshchenko for children simply and unobtrusively encourage honesty, acting according to conscience, responding to others' troubles, and not being indifferent. Our book Great Travelers. Stories About Children includes tales from the cycles Smart Animals, Lelya and Minka, stories about Minka's childhood from the book Before Sunrise, and others.
