Dozen is a girl without a name, without a past, without a family. She has renounced her former life to become a Hunter and join the fight against the monsters that have overrun the kingdom of Ember. But her main goal is to take revenge for the family ruthlessly destroyed by a treacherous cave clan. Tormented by guilt and hatred, Dozen keeps her secret from all the inhabitants of the Hunter's lodge, where young recruits are trained in the art of war.
When goblins invade the lodge and kidnap the only person close to Dozen - December, she decides to save her partner at any cost. While the adult hunters remain inactive, Dozen sets off in pursuit. Accompanying her is Dog, the stone Guardian of the lodge, and two of her long-time rivals - Five and Sixth. Together, they face a difficult journey full of thrilling adventures and dangers.
