The Kingdom of Grandma's Name

The patterned grandmother's carpet on the wall of the village house - a sign of bygone mysterious times - captures the attention and stirs the imagination of the main character, a boy named Daniil. Grandma is not very generous with... communication, and every evening before falling asleep, the boy begins to mentally wander through the winding curves of the carpet pattern, blooming gardens, and woven thickets. Dream mixes with reality, and soon a new character appears on stage - a carpet man, who instantly invites Daniil into his world - the carpet kingdom, whose carpet is incurably sick with a black melancholy. Everything in this bright world is permeated with wordplay, humor, and unexpected twists. The nasty minister schemes treacherously, but with the help of his resourceful friend Lena, wise teacher Alexey Borisovich, a mysterious ram, adventurous carpet roller, and other new friends, Daniil finds a way out of the situation. The carpet is saved, but real life is not a fairy tale and prepares new trials for the hero.
