Seven Days of Wonders

Is it possible to manipulate people's feelings? It is hard to believe. However, the protagonist of the story, Borya Krutikov, accidentally finds a strange flashlight, which turns out to be an amazing device with incredible capabilities. With its help, it's... easy to make those around him become either foolish, greedy, and lazy, or, on the contrary, smart, kind, honest, and hardworking. Moreover, the device can instill an unaccountable fear… Not knowing how to handle the extraordinary device, Borya creates quite a few "wonders" in just seven days…
The story by the famous Soviet writer Anatoly Ivanovich Moshkovsky (1925-2008), written in 1969, is not just an intriguing children's fantasy. It helps young readers to figure out their own desires and actions and to form the worthy qualities of character that will be very useful for them in life.
