Tales and Myths about Dragons

Dragons — the only creatures we encounter in the legends of almost all peoples of the world: from the tales of snowy Scandinavia to the stories of Africa, Japan, and China. Modern sagas — from «The Lord of the Rings»... to «Game of Thrones» are unthinkable without dragons.

In our book, we have gathered more than twenty tales and legends about dragons from different countries and epochs. Our journey will begin in Ancient Greece, where Zeus, Cadmus, and Hercules fought dragons. In Germany and England, the great warriors Siegfried and Beowulf faced dragons, and in Lebanon — Saint George.

The reader will learn how dragons were defeated, tamed, and revered in Norway, Finland, Serbia, Armenia, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, and Kalmykia. How the inhabitants of Japan, Korea, and China trembled before dragons and admired them. And of course, we won't forget about the Zmey Gorynych from Russian tales!
