The Secret of the Unicorn

While walking through a flea market, Tintin sees a model of an old sailing ship and decides to gift it to his friend Captain Haddock. The captain is thrilled, as it is an exact replica of the "Unicorn"—the ship commanded... by his glorious ancestor François de Haddock. In the late 17th century, pirates led by Red Rackham captured the ship, but Captain de Haddock blew it up so that the proud frigate of His Majesty King Louis XIV would not fall into the hands of the buccaneers. The ship sank in a quiet cove near an unnamed island, taking with it all the treasures that the pirates had managed to haul from their damaged sloop. The chevalier de Haddock himself escaped, and he bequeathed three miniature copies of the "Unicorn" with a secret to his sons. This secret is what Tintin is trying to unravel. But as it turns out, he is not the only one…
