The Return of the Wolverine. A Tale and Stories

Russian writer Kamil Farukhshinovich Ziganshin (b. 1950) lived for several years in the depths of the Ussuri region and still travels through the taiga. There he learned to think and feel "animalistically". Therefore, his prose is detailed, natural, and at... the same time highly spiritual. Animals, birds, trees, rocks, and rivers are present not as a backdrop for the actions, but, filled with kindness and the artist's talent, they live, breathe, and speak, trying to convey to the reader a simple thought: man is not the king of Nature, but merely a part of it and, to be honest, not the best one.

The book includes the story "The Return of the Wolverine", which tells about the lives of these animals and shows that each of them, like people, has its own character, habits, goals, as well as selected stories.
