Astaфьев V. The Horse with the Pink Mane

Viktor Astafyev is known for his patriotic works filled with love for both the great and small homeland.
His largely autobiographical stories, published by the 'Omega' publishing house in the 'School Library' series, convey memories of a bright and happy time... of rural childhood, despite the difficult times and challenging life circumstances. Filled with faith in humanity and its moral strength, they are characterized by realistic portrayals of people's characters and the atmosphere of that time, a special warmth of narrative tone, and are dedicated to the theme of the development of the younger generation.
The works in the collection are included in the school program for extracurricular reading and are addressed to middle school age students.
The texts of the stories are presented without cuts, printed on good paper in large font, and contain color illustrations by I. Minkina.
