Lady Orangutan

Lada is going to a new school. More than anything in the world, the girl wants to quickly make friends among her classmates. Lada's mom is sure it won't be difficult, especially since the kids have a trip to the zoo ahead of them. But as soon as they find themselves at the orangutan enclosure, they immediately notice: the orange fur of the orangutan Lady looks exactly like Lada's hair! Of course, this becomes a reason for mockery. «How awful it is to look like that monkey!» thinks Lada. But what if the orangutan Lady is not rude and silly at all, but truly a real lady — elegant and well-mannered? So, maybe being similar to her isn't so terrible after all?
This book addresses an important issue faced by many: stereotypes and the bullying associated with them. Lada's story will help children understand how important it is not to judge others solely by their appearance or their belonging to any group. A special section with advice from a psychologist on how to help a child become more impartial or what to do if they themselves encounter mockery will be useful for parents.
