Stories about Animals

Ernest Seton-Thompson 1860 – 1946 is one of the first animalists. He contributed to the formation of the genre of stories about animals and influenced many fellow writers. His works speak of the eternal confrontation between beast and man. And no one can, nor wants to yield in this struggle. Animals attack livestock, and people hunt wild animals. Each is right in their own way. Especially when we remember that the events unfold in the mid-19th century. Nevertheless, Seton-Thompson's stories evoke empathy and help to understand the wild beast and its difficult and interesting life. The works are part of the school curriculum. For middle school age.
