Pearl Tales

The tales of one of the most popular European writers of the 19th century, Božena Němcová, are known to all. They have been adapted into films several times in the Czech Republic and the Soviet Union. The cult film Three Nuts for Cinderella was created based on these tales. In Pearl Tales, the main heroines are smart, brave, and strong princesses who boldly defeat cannibals and witches, save their sisters and parents from trouble, help those in need, and then attend the ball in the finest dresses, finding the long-awaited happiness. The illustrations for the book were created by Darima Erdynieva, a laureate and winner of republican and all-Russian art competitions.
