Electra's Code

«Electra's Code» — the second part of the Swedish trilogy about the adventures of Orest and Malin, the action of which begins a few months after the events of «Orest's Code».
Mysticism and adventures surround Orest and Malin, who live next door. The seventh graders find a box with a clock and a letter from the last century, as well as discovering that some time ago a high school student named Mesina mysteriously disappeared from their school. The friends get drawn into solving a new mystery, finding more and more clues: ciphers, pages from an ancient book, amazing vintage gadgets.
Orest's younger sister — the charming little dynamo Electra — is also involved in a series of mysterious events. Is the little girl part of the mystery or will she help the heroes solve it?
The author of these stories, Maria Engstrand, worked as an engineer and a lawyer. But then her hobby — writing stories — turned into a new profession. The writer loves her region in the southwest of Sweden with its small towns and forests. It’s no wonder that the novel takes place in a quiet suburb where mysticism, science, the past, and the present converge and captivate the reader. The images of the main characters on the cover, created by the artist Polina (Dr. Graf) Noskova, emphasize the mysterious atmosphere of this quest novel, which has won genuine interest from both schoolchildren and young adults.
