The Code of Electra

"The Code of Electra" is the second part of the Swedish trilogy about the adventures of Orest and Malin, the action of which begins a few months after the events of "The Code of Orest".
Mysticism and adventure surround Orest and... Malin, who live next door. The seventh graders find a box with a clock and a letter from the last century, and also discover that some time ago a high school student named Mesina mysteriously disappeared from their school. The friends become involved in unraveling a new mystery, finding more clues along the way: ciphers, pages from an ancient book, amazing antique gadgets.
Orest's younger sister — the charming little whirlwind Electra — is also caught up in a series of mysterious events. Is the little girl part of the mystery, or will she help the heroes solve it?
The author of these stories, Maria Engstrand, worked as an engineer and lawyer. But then her hobby — storytelling — turned into a new profession. The writer loves her region in the southwest of Sweden with its small towns and forests. It's no surprise that the novel takes place in a quiet suburb, where mysticism, science, the past and present intertwine and captivate the reader. The images of the main characters on the cover, created by artist Polina (Dr. Graf) Noskova, emphasize the mysterious atmosphere of this quest novel, which has garnered genuine interest from both schoolchildren and young adults.
