How Penelope Disappeared in the Fog

If a chicken considers itself of royal blood and claims to trace its lineage back to the times of dinosaurs, - it is not surprising that it is self-confident, independent, and has its peculiar habits. For instance, it prefers to take evening walks in the forest. However, the chicken never forgot to bring a cheese sandwich to the rooster after returning, so he could have a snack, and to chat with him after dinner until it was time for him to crow at dawn. And one day, the chicken disappeared... Of course, when the other inhabitants of the fairy farm set out to search for her, it turned into quite a story. After all, the rescue expedition included a hedgehog who had served in the army, a piglet who loved to listen to recordings of classic poetry accompanied by a string orchestra after his evening mud bath, and a cow carrying a gramophone on its back... Another story about the adventures of the friends living on the farm, who have already become beloved by our young readers. It was illustrated in his original 'cartoon' style by the author himself, the Lithuanian artist and children's book creator Dainius Šukys, who is known in the Baltics and beyond. According to his own words, when he draws, he feels like the character he is portraying. However, it is not only this that makes the characters in this book so lively and immediate. Each page is marked by the good-natured humor and the author's love for the images he creates, and both our young readers and their parents can be convinced of this.
