Coral Island: A Tale of the Pacific Ocean

As a result of a shipwreck, three young men – Ralph Brodyaga, Jack Martin, and Peterkin Gay – find themselves on a picturesque uninhabited island in the Pacific Ocean. The friends are about to face dramatic events – battles with cannibals, the hijacking of a pirate ship, the rescue of a beautiful girl from the hands of ruthless savages, and many other thrilling adventures.

Robert Michael Ballantyne (1825-1894) – a renowned Scottish writer, famous for his adventure tales for youth. His best book, «Coral Island», was published in 1857. It was this book that inspired the young Robert Louis Stevenson to write about maritime adventures, leading to the creation of his famous novel «Treasure Island».
