Through the Forest Paths

Relentless struggle for survival, strong passions, vivid characters – this is not quite the Bianki we are used to from childhood. The scenes unfolding before the reader depict the harsh life of the forest and rather evoke thoughts of Seton-Thompson or Jack London… Although the subtlety and wisdom of the description of nature and the customs of forest inhabitants are precisely those we usually find in the works of the outstanding domestic naturalist. Three stories, full of drama, three bright captivating plots – a wonderful gift for all lovers of literature about nature and fans of the works of V. V. Bianki (1894–1959).
For senior school age.
