The Star. A Christmas Story

Everyone knows that real miracles happen at Christmas. The wise men arrive, presents appear, and stars light up. Ordinary neighbors suddenly turn into fairy-tale sages, and under the paws of the fir tree, one can sleep until morning and not... notice a hurricane.

Ten-year-old Ronia is forced to sell Christmas trees and various "decorations" together with her older sister Melissa. Their father has lost his job again and left everyone without a holiday. But the holiday will still happen, for miracles occur - sometimes there is no other way out.

This story took place in the Norwegian Tøyen around our time, but, like Hans Christian Andersen's "The Little Match Girl," it could only have happened at Christmas.
