The floating Kuza turns out to be not so simple. Below, under the prison floors that will bring a long-awaited meeting, are long-forgotten "negrostins" mines, legendary underground lakes, and caves full of mysterious inhabitants. There, in the labyrinths of tunnels,...
Vika will have to find out if it is possible to move through Vosmiry without passing through Tumarya, why the Split occurred, and what else the shard of the Heart is capable of. Can "Laziness" be put on the shelf? What do hopes look like? How to negotiate with the "monster"? Vika is awaited by a long journey to the Bottom of the World and back, and it begins here — on a thin suspended bridge leading from the edge of the cliff.
This magical story is the fourth part of the Vosmiry cycle.
Having said goodbye to summer, Vika was returning home on August 31 along her usual road and after a small incident suddenly found herself in an unfamiliar place. Not quite understanding what happened, she ended up in Ovo, full of mysteries and magic. Ovo is a part of Vosmiry that was once a whole, but now consists of shard-worlds, divided by dense gloomy fog. In the morning, August 32 arrives, and enchanted by the wonders around her, Vika meets the unusual inhabitants of Ovo and learns about the existence of the darkwalkers — these fearless travelers between worlds bring messages from other Shards. Vika must somehow get to the world of Kvidam — it seems there is a person who knows how she can return to autumn, to her mom, to her ordinary world without magic, where no one grows dreams or bakes laughter. Together with her new friends, Vika sets off on a journey and does not yet realize how many dangers lie in wait for her along the way.
"Vosmiry" is a fantasy story about friendship and betrayal, aimed at readers aged 8–12. They will be treated to an exciting tale of pretense and true friendship, dreams and sincerity, magical adventures and magical artifacts.
The book was illustrated by Tatiana Petrovska.
