This simple yet extraordinarily deep tactical board game is a strategy. At the heart of the game mechanics is the queen bee, which must be protected at all costs. Surrounding the opponent's queen leads to immediate defeat and is the main objective of the board
game. To achieve this goal, we have several types of insect combat units at our disposal. Each of them has its own abilities, but they all adhere to general rules, the most important of which is that the hive must remain unbroken; therefore, all pieces must contact each other.
 

The strategy game begins when opponents place the first pieces on the table — the foundation of the future hive. On each subsequent turn, they can move them according to the specific rules of each individual insect. The spider moves three spaces along the hive's borders. The ant can move along the same borders any distance. The grasshopper jumps in a straight line, leaping over other pieces. The beetle climbs over its brethren, preventing the "crushed" pieces from moving. Finally, the queen herself is capable of moving one space in any
free direction.

In short, the magnificent board game "Hive" is wonderfully suited for people of all ages and preferences, thanks to its genius simplicity. The components of the board game "Hive": one set with white hexagonal plastic pieces and another with black. Each set includes one queen bee, 2 spiders, 2 beetles, 3 grasshoppers, and 3 ants, totaling 22 pieces.
