The owner of the prestigious hotel chain, Finley Armstrong, hates Christmas due to a tragedy that occurred five years ago. An unexpected encounter with maid Grace Ellis turns his life upside down. Trying to distract the girl from sad memories associated with the loss of her beloved grandmother, he invites her to spend Christmas in his castle in Scotland. Grace also tries to help Finley regain himself. Cut off from the outside world by the snowy silence, the young people celebrate Christmas by the fireplace in the ancient castle, realizing that they are starting to fall in love with each other.
