After completing his military service, Semyon Morozov gets a job at his father's gold mining company. The enterprise is going through tough times: endless schemes by competitors, strife within the management. As a result of an armed attack on the storage facility, a large stock of gold disappears, and Senior Morozov vanishes without a trace.
