I opened my eyes.
From the burning sun that scorched my skin, my face was shaded by a figure resembling the silhouette of a person.
How could a person be here?
Maybe I'm already dead?
—You are not dead! — a voice sounded.
The voice was remarkable: high, pure, and at the same time deep with some cosmic depth.
The shadow moved closer, and before my half-blinded eyes appeared a widely smiling female face.
It looked at me with slightly squinted, large almond-shaped eyes of heavenly blue.
—You will live! — the woman said with her amazing voice.
I peered into her face, framed by a halo of golden sunlight, and realized that it was black. Completely black, like the night sky in Africa.
-Who are you? — I asked, barely moving my lips covered with cracked, parched skin.
-I am Ayo! — replied the black woman and smiled again, flashing the bright pearly whiteness of her perfect, even large teeth.
—Ayo... — I struggled to say and fell back into oblivion...
